Sherlock Holmes is one of the main characters in the No Place Like Holmes and Mary Morstan Mysteries series (as well as being the title character in the stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle). He is portrayed by Ross K. Foad. He is a self proclaimed "consulting detective" whose abilities border on the fantastic, Holmes is known for his astute logical reasoning, his ability to adopt almost any disguise and his use of forensic science to solve difficult cases.

He is an eccentric with no regard for contemporary standards of tidiness or good order. However, his best friend Doctor Watson famously notes, despite this all this: "he has a cat-like love of personal cleanliness.

His personality borderlines bipolar manic, seemingly effortlessly switching between abrupt rudeness to being the most polite and charming of gentlemen when it is required.

In No Place Like Holmes, he and Doctor Watson find themselves transported by means of demonic ritual from the year 1895 to 2010. Despite this sheer phenomenal occurrence, he still struggles with the concept that not everything in this life can be dissected, analyzed or understood in this lifetime.

But being ever resilient, he soon finds himself re-establishing his business as a consulting private detective and taking up residence with best friend and new housekeeper, Miss Christine Blake.

Being excessively stubborn, despite his new surroundings, he holds a lot of contempt to the modern day way of life and remains very much Victorian in his dress sense, attitude and beliefs - much to the chagrin of Miss Blake, who is forever trying to modernize any she can about him.
