Desmond Devon is the villain of the episode "The Two Fold Bond" and was portrayed by Alexander Grant.
He is ruthless business man, and a modern day version of James Windibank. He defrauds his own step-daughters of her inheritance through an elaborate scheme which sees him dressing up as another man and win her heart, only to then leave at the altar, breaking her heart and ensuring the inheritance stipulation of marriage is never pursued.
Holmes eventually pieces the facade together and confronts Devon on his deception. Although he knows, there is nothing that can be done by law to Mr. Devon, the impending threat of using his cane in a painful manner persuades Devon to scuttle away, never to be seen again.
